capo_clearkeys

A lightweight FiveM resource for managing and clearing qs-vehiclekeys key items from supported inventory systems.

capo_clearkeys helps prevent vehicle key spam by allowing players to remove unnecessary key items while keeping the keys they actually need. It supports common FiveM frameworks and inventory systems, includes localization, uses ox_lib for the menu interface, and keeps item removal server-authoritative.

Features

  • Clear all vehicle keys from your inventory.
  • Keep only the closest vehicle’s key by detecting nearby vehicle plates.
  • Keep only your current vehicle’s key when seated inside a vehicle.
  • Framework autodetection for QBCore, QBX, and ESX.
  • Inventory autodetection for ox_inventory, qs-inventory, qb-inventory, ps-inventory, and ESX inventory.
  • ox_lib context menu with configurable command and keybind.
  • Flexible notification support using ox_lib, framework notifications, custom notifications, or console fallback.
  • Multi-language support with fallback to English.
  • Server-authoritative item removal.

Requirements

  • Framework: QBCore, QBX, or ESX
  • Vehicle key system: qs-vehiclekeys
  • Inventory: ox_inventory, qs-inventory, qb-inventory, ps-inventory, or ESX inventory
  • UI library: ox_lib

Installation

  1. Download the resource and place it in your server’s resources folder.

  2. Add the resource to your server.cfg after your framework, inventory, vehicle key system, and ox_lib:

ensure capo_clearkeys
  1. Edit config.lua to match your server setup, including the key item name, locale, notifications, command, keybind, and optional target settings.

Usage

Default command:

/clearkeys

Default keybind:

F7

Players can open the menu and choose from the following options:

  • Remove all keys
  • Keep closest vehicle key
  • Keep current vehicle key

Optional ox_target support can be enabled to allow vehicle interaction directly through the target system.

Localization

The resource includes localization support for:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • German
  • French
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Turkish
  • Russian
  • Arabic
  • Polish
  • Dutch

If a localized string is missing, the resource falls back to English. You can override existing strings or add new languages in locales.lua.

Configuration

Common configuration options include:

  • Config.KeyItem — vehicle key item name. Default: vehiclekeys.
  • Config.Command — command used to open the menu.
  • Config.KeyMapping — default keybind.
  • Config.NotifyProvider — notification provider. Options include ox, qb, qbx, esx, custom, and print.
  • Config.Locale — auto-detect or force a specific language.
  • Config.Target* — enable and customize optional ox_target support.

Why Use This?

Vehicle key items can quickly clutter player inventories and create duplicate key issues. capo_clearkeys gives players a simple way to clean up their keys while keeping the ones they need.

It is lightweight, configurable, localized, and designed to work across common FiveM frameworks and inventory systems.
