I Know not people like it from VTFedit and don't use it but I have a folder with a lot of images that I want to convert into VTF.
having a basic VMT generated automatically would be useful, (and as my stupid brain i have i sometime forget to create the vmt when i export lot of image into vtf) so I can just edit it afterward
the template can be :
"LightmappedGeneric"
{
"$basetexture" "folder of thexture "
}
(optional not something important in my opinion) On VTFedit reload, you can modifiy the vmt autogenerated if the texture is a lightmappedGeneric or other shaders (decals etc), add bump bamp)
