…ates) - 0.31.0 removed the Blazor AliasVault.Client and split the core build flag --browser into --web; build apps/web (React/Vite) instead - render nginx.conf from upstream nginx-443/nginx-80-443 templates via the upstream entrypoint on every nginx start/reload, so TRUSTED_PROXIES, FORCE_HTTPS_REDIRECT, ADMIN_IP_ALLOWLIST, MAX_UPLOAD_SIZE_MB and HOSTNAME in .env work like the Docker setup - quote .env secrets (connection string contains ';') - add aliasvault.target to restart everything after .env changes - admin password via random_password, written to ~/aliasvault.creds - var_arm64=no, no custom functions, JSON notes cut to three Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01SZrFpm4auP7MM23XW7SwQJ

✍️ Description
Reworks the AliasVault dev script for AliasVault 0.31.x. The current script cannot build 0.31.x:
apps/server/AliasVault.Client(Blazor WASM) was removed in 0.31.0; the web client is now a React/Vite app inapps/web.core/build-and-distribute.sh --browserwas removed and split into--web/--browser-extension.It also addresses the problems reported in #1827:
.envoptions for reverse-proxy use were ignored, and nginx used a hardcoded template that diverged from upstream.Upstream research
apps/web/Dockerfile: core built withbuild-and-distribute.sh --web(Rust + wasm-pack + clang/llvm), thennpm ci && npm run build, served as static files (apps/web/nginx.conf). Noenginesinpackage.json; Docker uses Node 20, the script uses Node 22 LTS.apps/server/*/Dockerfile: .NET 10 (global.json10.0.100), API on 3001 (/api), Admin on 3002 (/admin), SMTP service, TaskRunner. Thewasm-toolsworkload is no longer needed.docker-compose.yml: PostgreSQL →setup_postgresql/setup_postgresql_db..env.example:TRUSTED_PROXIES,FORCE_HTTPS_REDIRECT,ADMIN_IP_ALLOWLIST,MAX_UPLOAD_SIZE_MB,HOSTNAME,PUBLIC_REGISTRATION_ENABLED,SMTP_*— names used unchanged.Shared/AliasVault.Shared.Server/Utilities/SecretReader.cs: outside a container, secrets come from env vars (JWT_KEY,DATA_PROTECTION_CERT_PASS,ADMIN_PASSWORD_HASH,ADMIN_PASSWORD_GENERATED,ABUSE_METRICS_SALT), so.envasEnvironmentFileworks.install.sh(openssl rand -base64 32); admin password viarandom_password.Changes
apps/webinstead of the removed Blazor client;--webcore build.apps/server/nginx-443.conf/nginx-80-443.confby running upstreamapps/server/entrypoint.sh(up to where it starts nginx). Only container→LXC substitutions are applied (client/api/admin→127.0.0.1, static/status roots). The static client server block comes from upstreamapps/web/nginx.conf..envsecrets quoted (the connection string contains;, which brokesource .env).aliasvault.target:systemctl restart aliasvault.targetapplies.envchanges to nginx and all services.~/aliasvault.credsand referenced in the final output (AliasVault #1827: the password was not shown).var_arm64="no": the wasm-pack prebuild pattern and the Microsoft .NET apt repo are amd64-only.hddaligned withvar_disk(24).Deviations from AGENTS.md (stated as required)
/usr/local/bin/aliasvault-configure(anti-pattern 11): not a one-shot install script. An nginx systemd drop-in runs it on every start/reload so.envchanges take effect, as upstream's container entrypoint does at each start. There is no way to get that behaviour without a persistent hook.nginx_enable_site/create_self_signed_cert: the fullnginx.conf(withgeo,real_ipand upstream blocks) comes from the upstream template, and the certificate comes from upstream's entrypoint logic (SAN fromHOSTNAME, regenerated when it changes). A sites-available vhost would mean a hardcoded template again, which is the original problem.systemctl daemon-reload: needed once because a drop-in modifies the existingnginx.service(allowed per [core] update .app files #13).~/aliasvault.creds(anti-pattern 14):.envholds only the hash of the generated admin password, so the plaintext has nowhere else to live. Same pattern asinstall/zitadel-install.sh(no msg block,chmod 600).Not yet tested on a Proxmox host; I will post install/update logs in #1827.

Breaking: containers created by the previous (pre-0.31, Blazor) version of this script cannot be updated in place, because the client architecture changed upstream. The update aborts with a message to export vaults and recreate the container.
Validated so far: nginx rendering against the 0.31.1 source tree (
nginx -tpasses in default mode and in reverse-proxy mode withFORCE_HTTPS_REDIRECT=false,TRUSTED_PROXIES=192.168.1.10,ADMIN_IP_ALLOWLIST=private),bash -n, shellcheck. Full install and update on PVE still to do.📦 Application Requirements (for new scripts)
