Changes

  • Load cached Spotify credentials before falling back to username/password authentication.
  • Make Spotify username and password optional, default autoplay to false, and make the cache directory configurable.
  • Document credential generation and cached-authentication setup.
  • Update the package to version 0.10.0 and Rust edition 2021, refresh the lockfile and package metadata, and update Git exclusions.

Previous pull request

This replaces #59 with the same commits and code changes. The dedicated source branch keeps the upstream submission separate from fork-specific Docker and documentation changes on the fork's main branch.

Validation

Creating this replacement does not add or change code. It does not establish that authentication or audio playback works with current Spotify and Discord requirements.

- Fix Spotify authentication broken by deprecation of username/password auth
- Add support for cached credentials via librespot cache
- Make username/password optional for backward compatibility
- Update README with new authentication setup instructions
- Bump version to 0.10.0
- Improve .gitignore to exclude sensitive files
- Update project metadata and fix clippy warnings
