I'm packaging the project for debian, and the fact that testdata is in the root directory instead of a dedicated testdata folder causes problems with debian's way of running go tests.
Would be great if you can merge this, which would move the test data into a testdata folder
Its currently done via a patch, but if its done upstream it would be a lot better
