Published Skill Layout

Formal skills live under one primary category:

The initial categories are:

• collection

• ideation

Install A Skill

Users can install published skills from this repository in several ways. Use the skill directory path shown in CATALOG.md; for example, handoff-md lives at skills/codex/handoff-md.

Option 1: Codex Skill Installer

This is the most automated option when the target Agent already has Codex's skill installer available:

  --path skills/codex/handoff-md \

Option 2: Manual Git Clone

Clone the repository, then copy the skill folder into the Agent's skills directory:

git clone https://github.com/coderpang/skills.git coderpang-skills
mkdir -p "${CODEX_HOME:-$HOME/.codex}/skills"
cp -R coderpang-skills/skills/codex/handoff-md "${CODEX_HOME:-$HOME/.codex}/skills/"

Option 3: Git Sparse Checkout

Use this when users only want to download one skill path instead of the whole repository:

git clone --filter=blob:none --sparse https://github.com/coderpang/skills.git coderpang-skills
cd coderpang-skills
git sparse-checkout set skills/codex/handoff-md
mkdir -p "${CODEX_HOME:-$HOME/.codex}/skills"
cp -R skills/codex/handoff-md "${CODEX_HOME:-$HOME/.codex}/skills/"

After installation, start a new Codex conversation or restart Codex if the skill is not visible yet. Then invoke it with $handoff-md, or use natural language such as Handoff, 总结, 交接, or 先读 HANDOFF 文档.

Validate Skills

python3 scripts/validate-skills.py
python3 scripts/generate-catalog.py --check
python3 -m unittest discover -s tests
