- align release credentials and checkout history with proven registries - preflight workflow destinations before writing workspace files - keep CI formatting checks non-mutating
- validate target tasks and registry versions before tagging - skip package versions already published during reruns
- honor explicit bumps from the virtual baseline - ignore unrelated tags when no stable release exists
