These are the endpoints that mobile apps use instead of the websites, for services without a dedicated OONI app test (YouTube, X, Facebook/Messenger, Instagram, TikTok). The global list already covers similar endpoints (i.instagram.com, edge-chat.instagram.com, *.cdninstagram.com, *.twimg.com, *.fbcdn.net). In Iran these endpoints show clear blocking: for example, i.instagram.com failed in 157 of 162 Web Connectivity tests on TCI (AS58224) between 17 and 23 September 2026. That makes them a useful signal for whether the apps work. All hosts were checked on 24 September 2026: they resolve and complete a TLS handshake.

Context: an open-source dashboard on internet censorship (Iran-Censorship-Monitor) in Iran for non-technical readers, using only OONI measurements from networks registered in Iran.
