Adds cmp-issuer to the list of known cert-manager external issuers.
cmp-issueris an Apache-2.0 licensed, vendor-neutral external issuer that enrolls cert-managerCertificateRequestresources against CMPv2 servers.It currently supports P10CR enrollment, including cert-manager renewal through re-enrollment, with PasswordBasedMac or certificate-signature message protection over HTTP or HTTPS.
v0.1.0 has been interoperability-tested against Nokia NCM 26.7 and EJBCA Community Edition 9.3.7 using Kubernetes v1.34-v1.36 and cert-manager v1.19-v1.21.
The controller is built on cert-manager
issuer-lib, honorsCertificateRequestapproval and denial and providesCMPIssuerandCMPClusterIssuerresources for use with normal cert-managerCertificateresources.For context, I'm also a co-author and current maintainer of Nokia's
ncm-issuer, which is already listed as a Tier 2 external issuer.Requested tier: Tier 2 (Maintained), based on the v0.1.0 released in August 2026.
