Peddler

Product Spec Document
Brittany Ohalete, Jah'lil Allen, Xavier Ward

Objective

Often times college students look for the cheapest option in order to save a buck. This includes buying used clothes, books, and more. In addition, college campuses are saturated with young entrepreneurs looking to sell their craft, product or service. As a result, college students currently resort to GroupMe where thousands of pictures are posted daily from hairstylist, artist, and more. These pictures are often lost amongst the other GroupMe chatter or lack enough information to create a successfully sale. Students need a centralized and user friendly application to buy and sell on their campus at affordable rates.

Peddler serves as a centralized place for college students to buy and sell items and/or services on their own campus. Users have the ability to query the database for items/services they’re looking to buy as well as upload items/services they’re looking to sell. Peddler reduces the trouble of waiting weeks, and at times months to receive packages from eBay or other resell sites. Knowing that they are buying from their fellow peers also helps to alleviate the fear of being scammed. Peddler will help aid in the growth of the various entrepreneurs on college campuses as well as simplifying student’s search for cheap items on their own campus.
