The routed conversation-style composer is a good direction: it gives first-message composition enough space, preserves normal back/forward navigation, and avoids creating/opening an empty DM before the user actually sends. The recipient/search and async-navigation coverage is strong.
Requesting one behavior fix before approval: this removes the existing selected-recipient identity verification surface. The old dialog showed each selected recipient's full npub (new-dm-pubkey-*); the new screen reduces the selection to a display-name/avatar chip, and the updated screenshot test explicitly asserts that no new-dm-pubkey-* remains. After selection, the matching result row also disappears, so there is no stable way to verify the cryptographic recipient before sending. Display names and avatars are not unique, making this especially risky for a private-message compose flow.
Please retain a compact way to inspect/copy the full npub for every selected recipient (for example, use the existing PubKey popover from each chip) and cover it. It does not need to recreate the old modal layout.
CI is green. Head 25dc502e is currently 5 commits behind main; update and rerun CI after the identity-verification fix.
