About me...

I am a Geoscientist with 15 years of experience, primarily working with seismic contractors. I have interpreted seismic data from around the world to support petroleum exploration, carbon storage assessments, and engineering projects. My work spans a wide range of geological settings, helping understand subsurface conditions and make informed decisions.

Carbon Storage

I have contributed to projects developing concepts for geological CO₂ storage in migration-assisted systems. This approach leverages CO₂ migration to enhance trapping efficiency through structural, residual, and dissolution mechanisms. Working within multidisciplinary teams, I have helped advance several sites from early concept to fully characterized storage projects with plans prepared for further appraisal and data acquisition.

Nadir Crater, Republic of Guinea

In 2020–2021, I worked on a new seismic survey acquired offshore the Republic of Guinea, supporting the imaging team with velocity model building. During interpretation, a striking subsurface feature emerged that prompted further investigation. Detailed mapping led us to interpret it as an impact crater.

Independently, researchers at Heriot-Watt University had also identified the same structure in legacy 2D seismic data. This led to a successful collaboration and the publication of a paper in Nature Communications describing the crater.
