Aider 0.86.1 creates a repository-map cache directory by default. Our publication guard correctly rejects unexpected untracked files, so that cache would block an otherwise valid README proposal.
Disable the optional repository map with
--map-tokens 0; the bounded read-only repository context is already supplied explicitly. Also disable shell-command suggestions for the documentation-only agent. Keep all publication and validation guards intact.Added a regression for both invocation flags. All 42 tests and Bash syntax checks pass locally; no live provider/model calls were made. CI still verifies the exact PR commit before merge.
Upstream behavior verified in the pinned source: https://github.com/Aider-AI/aider/blob/v0.86.1/aider/repomap.py and https://github.com/Aider-AI/aider/blob/v0.86.1/aider/coders/base_coder.py
