Improve the standalone plain-list picker so it is easier to scan on an e-reader, with clearer article cards, list controls, and each article's original published date when that metadata is available. The date display falls back to the WordPress post date for ordinary posts.
Also reduce stale downloads by opting e-reader list/download responses out of page and browser caching, and by giving generated ePub files unique filenames and identifiers while keeping their source URL stable.
