The README asked for 8.4.6, the CI compose file still ran 8.0.26 (a 2021 release on a line that left support in April 2026), and the Testcontainers smoke test floated on the 8.4 tag. All three now name 8.4.11, the current 8.4 LTS patch, so documentation, CI and the test database agree. Deployments that keep a data volume from 8.0.26 go through MySQL's in-place upgrade on first start with the new image; take a backup first.
