Problem / Feature

Consumers using newer analyzer versions (up to version 14) cannot use built_redux due to the strict ^10.0.0 dependency constraint. In analyzer 14, the deprecated FieldElement.isSynthetic getter was removed, causing generator compilation failures when upgrading.

Solution

  • Widen the analyzer dependency constraint in pubspec.yaml to >=10.0.0 <15.0.0.
  • Update lib/generator.dart to use !field.isOriginDeclaration instead of field.isSynthetic, ensuring compatibility across analyzer 10 through 14.
  • Regenerate built_value files and verify all tests pass.

Areas of Impact

  • Code generation (BuiltReduxGenerator in lib/generator.dart)
  • Package dependency constraints (pubspec.yaml)

Test Overview (QA Instructions)

  • Run dart analyze (passed cleanly with 0 issues)
  • Run dart test (all 22 VM tests passed)
  • Run dart test -p chrome (all 22 browser tests passed)
  • Verified compatibility with both analyzer 10.2.0 and analyzer 14.4.0
