KBLI Dataset

This repository contains a comprehensive dump of the KBLI (Klasifikasi Baku Lapangan Usaha Indonesia) dataset. KBLI is Indonesia's standard industrial classification system.

Available Versions

This repository currently provides datasets for multiple KBLI releases:

Each version is maintained independently because classifications, descriptions, and codes may change between KBLI releases.

Data Format

All datasets are currently available only in JSON format.

KBLI Classification Structure

The KBLI classification system is structured hierarchically and consists of the following levels:

Section	A	Highest level, broad economic sectors	No
Division	XX	Two-digit code, general categories	Yes
Group	XXX	Three-digit code, specific categories	Yes
Class	XXXX	Four-digit code, detailed activities	Yes
Subclass	XXXXX	Five-digit code, most granular classification	Yes

Each additional digit refines the classification.

Example:

• Section: A
• Division: 01
• Group: 011
• Class: 0111
• Subclass: 01111

The total number of records may differ between KBLI versions as classifications are periodically revised.

Usage

This dataset can be used to:

• Understand the structure of Indonesian industries.

Choosing a Version

Use the dataset corresponding to the regulation or business process you are working with.

• Use the 2020/ dataset when working with KBLI 2020 classifications.
• Use the 2025/ dataset when working with KBLI 2025 classifications.

The two versions should be treated as separate datasets because codes, names, and classification structures may have changed.
