This hotfix repairs the YAML syntax break introduced in
.github/workflows/build-ultraplot.yml(reported at line 240) by replacing the embedded heredoc Python blocks with equivalentpython -cchecks. The workflow behavior is unchanged: compare jobs still capture pytest exit status, override only false non-zero exits when junit reports zero failures/errors, and fail on real test failures. This PR is isolated to workflow syntax/robustness only.
