Hi,
Could the inventory List and Grid views display whether a filament entry is a refill or a spool?
The information already exists in the product details under Color & Aspect, but it is currently not visible at a glance from the main inventory views.
Current behavior
In List view, there is no obvious way to tell whether an item is:
- a refill
- supplied with a spool
In Grid view, the same information is also not clearly displayed, so the user often has to rely on the product image.
This can be misleading because the image does not always match the actual variant.
For example, I currently have a Bambu Lab PLA Basic – Jade White entry that is the version with spool, while its thumbnail shows what appears to be a refill.
As a result, the only reliable way to check is to open the item and look at the Color & Aspect section.
Suggested improvement
It would be useful to expose this existing information directly in the inventory views.
For example:
List view
An additional column could show:
Spool
or
Refill
Alternatively, the existing Color / Aspect information could be made available as optional columns.
Grid view
A small badge could be displayed directly on the card, for example:
REFILL
or
SPOOL
Optional configurable fields
An even more flexible solution would be to allow users to choose which fields are visible in the List and/or Grid views.
For example:
- Color
- Aspect
- Refill / Spool
- Material
- Brand
- Weight
- Capacity
- Price
- Tags
This would allow users to keep the interface compact while exposing the information that matters most for their own inventory workflow.
For an inventory containing many visually similar Bambu Lab filaments, being able to distinguish refills from complete spools without opening every item would be particularly useful.
Thanks!
