In `@packages/cli/src/rules/mounted-component-files.ts`:
- Line 238: Update the traversal around getLocalReExports so modules re-exported
only for metadata or configuration are not added to mountedFiles; mount a target
only when the selected export names include a component. Preserve mounting for
component re-exports and add a regression test covering a metadata re-export
from a module that also exports an unrelated component.
In `@packages/cli/src/rules/source-files.ts`:
- Line 282: Update loadImportedSourceFiles so resolved in-project imports are
excluded when their project-relative normalized paths match PROJECT_IGNORES,
using the same glob semantics as findSafeFiles, before seen.add or file reading;
add a regression test covering an import of an ignored file.

@TheOrcDev interested in this one? (It's still siting on my Open PR list 😅) |
A Next layout can mount a command menu or toaster from a repository-local shared UI package while conventional source globs omit it and named barrel re-exports lose the selected component identity. Conversely, following unrelated exports can incorrectly satisfy a mounted check.
Concrete example and expected results
A shared component can be rendered in the app even though its implementation sits outside the conventional app/components folders:
Minimal fixture excerpts (the full fixture also provides the root layout and command primitives):
The problem is a missing-evidence report despite an actual mounted menu. Tracing the selected export supplies that evidence; merely finding a Menu somewhere in a barrel must not count.
command-menu-presentresult after this fixMenuabovepassUnrelatedfailmetadatafrom a file that also defines a menufailpassSeparately, source discovery includes the reachable
shared/control.tsxin a consumer → barrel → control fixture, but not its unreferenced sibling. Cyclic imports terminate; outside-root and ignored test/generated imports remain excluded by existing safeguards. More discovered code can create additional legitimate failures, so this is not a score-inflation change.Executable evidence: mounted menu and negative controls, discovery and confinement fixtures.
Reproduce using the normal workspace setup:
pnpm --filter ./packages/cli exec vitest run test/source-files.test.ts test/interaction-rules.test.ts test/state-rules.test.ts --maxWorkers=2 --testTimeout=30000These are scanner-only changes; the diagram and executable fixtures show the behavior more directly than a product screenshot.
Follow local imports/re-exports through the existing confined TypeScript resolver and file/byte budgets. Preserve ignored source patterns, include nested Next layouts, and follow only selected value exports for mounted-component and toast analysis. Scans stay deterministic and read-only; no source is executed or uploaded and no new dependencies, score weights, exclusions or report contracts are introduced. Expanded coverage can expose real findings and lower a project's score.
Related discussion: #55. I missed CONTRIBUTING.md’s issue-first requirement for source-acquisition changes when initially opening this PR. That process error is acknowledged in the issue; this remains a proposal for maintainer review.
Bundled ruleset advances to 2026.09.10 for the changed audit behavior. Generated catalog, README files and Unreleased changelog are updated. PR54 also proposes a ruleset change; whichever merges second must be rebased and assigned the next identifier before merge. Package versions/releases remain maintainer-managed.
Regression fixtures cover out-of-glob shared imports, cycles, outside-root paths, ignored files, nested layouts, selected barrels, metadata-only exports and mounted versus unused toasts. Validation now uses the normal locked workspace on Node24/pnpm11.24.0, rather than the earlier isolated configuration. All792 CLI tests,140 API tests,170 web-scanner tests, workspace and CLI types, lint, generated-doc checks, packed-CLI smoke and dogfood gate pass. Production build with trace verification and all81 Chromium E2E tests also pass. Dependency audit passed on the identical locked graph in PR54. The guide’s older pnpm/Node-minimum text differs from current package manifests and CI; those version declarations are unchanged. Local macOS verification does not replace the upstream Linux/Windows compatibility matrix or Vercel authorization.
