T.R. Price — defi4refi

Free, open-source protocol engineering for ReFi & public-goods teams.

Regenerative-finance projects have world-class vision and no engineering budget. defi4refi is a public-goods development studio: supporters fund the studio, and the studio designs and ships protocol codebases free to selected teams — community treasuries, staking systems, local currencies, bonds, governance.

Every delivery is open source, every engagement gets a public writeup and a hypercert. Audit-ready, not audited — your team deploys and operates the contracts under your own keys.

Get involved

What we build

Tier Deliverable Effort
T0 Design sprint — tokenomics, architecture, threat model, roadmap ~1 week
T1 Protocol-in-a-box — token, staking, bonds, treasury, governance ~2–4 weeks
T2 dApp frontend — staking/bonds/dashboard with wallet stack ~1–2 weeks
T3 Adjacent modules — coordination, identity, DePIN, cross-chain scoped

Built from contracts already live in production on Base (rooted-finance, abyayala, regen-bridge).

How it's funded

Donations go to the studio — donors receive no services (patronage of a public good, not a service sale). Funding channels: Giveth, Octant, Gitcoin rounds, direct crypto, and hypercerts on each delivered engagement.

Tech-wizard bio (for decks)

A GIS-trained environmental economist who became a full-stack blockchain engineer. As Chief Science Officer at Azos Labs he connected $57M+ of environmental assets and mapped paths to $2B more. He built Avano's decentralized monitoring-and-verification network to 75+ people in two months, ships production smart contracts on Base, and runs defi4refi — a public-goods studio that builds free, audit-ready protocol codebases for ReFi teams. His systems turn stories into attestations and funding into flowing streams.

What I work on

  • Regenerative finance — funding models that pay for ecosystem restoration: on-chain carbon and environmental credits, community currencies, impact-linked finance
  • Environmental intelligence — satellites, sensors and decentralized networks to monitor, report and verify environmental outcomes
  • Protocols & DeFi — stablecoins, treasury design, DEX liquidity, cross-chain automation
  • Private & open AI — local models, agents, decentralized compute and storage, self-hosted tools

Selected work

  • climate-week-search — semantic search over 975 NYC Climate Week 2026 videos
  • comeunity — interactive map of 1,800+ intentional communities
  • agritrace — agroforestry supply-chain traceability
  • BrazilCommunityCurrency — community currency platform for Brazil with bank-backed tokens
  • bridgew2w3 — P2P bridge moving carbon credits from web2 registries to Hedera
  • widespread-logos — privacy-preserving wallet for the Logos network

Background

  • Chief Science Officer, Azos Labs (2024–25) — connected the org to $57M+ of impact assets
  • Founder, Avano / Tierrx (2021–23) — built a decentralized monitoring & verification team of 75+, raised $100k+ in grants
  • Founder, Treetable (2022–) — regeneration plan for 120 acres of desertified Colorado land
  • Peace Corps Paraguay (2017–19)
  • M.S. Environmental Studies, Antioch · B.S. Fort Lewis · PhD coursework at Lincoln University NZ
  • English & Spanish fluent · Guaraní basic
