| Row height | Normal | Compact, Normal, Comfortable, Spacious. A font too tall for the chosen height raises the rows to fit it |
| Date format | ISO 8601 | ISO 8601, ISO Date, US Long, US Short, EU Long, EU Short. Sub-second digits and a UTC offset stored with the value are printed wherever the format renders a time, as the server wrote them: `2024-12-31 23:59:59.123456+07`. A value stored without an offset, such as a MySQL `DATETIME`, never gains one, and a fraction of nothing but zeros is not printed |

Double-click a cell to edit it. A long value stays on one line and scrolls sideways rather than wrapping into the column's width. Nothing reaches the database until you save, and [Change Tracking](/features/change-tracking) covers the type-specific editors, the row operations, and what a Save runs.

With the grid focused, `Cmd+=` and `Cmd+-` make its text bigger or smaller. They change the Data Grid Font size in [data settings](/customization/data-settings), so every grid, the inspector and the cell popovers follow, and the size is kept between launches.

NULL renders as styled `NULL` text. That text, the date format, row height, row numbers, and alternate row backgrounds are [data settings](/customization/data-settings). Every shortcut the grid answers to, and how to rebind it, is in [Keyboard Shortcuts](/features/keyboard-shortcuts).

`Tab` walks the panes in reading order and the six commands under **View > Focus** jump straight to one. The SQL editor keeps `Tab` and `Shift+Tab` for indentation, so a Focus command is the way out of it. A Focus command reveals a collapsed or hidden pane before moving the keyboard into it, and dims when the pane it names is not there.
