Shift: tap = one capital, quick double tap or long press = Caps Lock; icons differ per state.
Long-press popups (nine-key letters, 1, punctuation): press, slide to a cell, lift to type; lift on the key keeps the popup for tapping. Landscape folds the rows into one.
Landscape layout setting: floating (default, auto), full width (now fills the screen up to 900dp), side (right-docked, about 60%).
Landscape top strip is 48dp with pinyin and candidates on one row. Floating card has rounded corners and a bottom strip for the system nav buttons.
Tests: unit tests, lint and release_check pass. core_regression.sh: 16 pass, 3 fail (022, 033, 035), the same 3 fail on main.
