saas-maker-newsletter-capturewidget (sassmaker.com/newsletter-capture.js) setsplaceholder = "you@example.com"in its open shadow root. Replaces it with 'Email address' from a small inline script; widget behavior unchanged. The 'catalog may be stale' banner is untouched.
