Trade Surplus • Power Communities • Smarter Grid
PowerGridX is a smart digital electricity marketplace that connects electricity producers, household prosumers, and consumers through the existing power-grid infrastructure.
The core idea is simple: if a person or organization generates more electricity than it currently needs, the eligible surplus can be offered through PowerGridX to consumers who need electricity.
PowerGridX manages the digital marketplace, matching, forecasting, verification, transactions, contracts, and settlement, while the existing regulated grid infrastructure handles the physical flow of electricity.

PowerGridX does not create a dedicated physical electricity connection between an individual seller and a particular buyer.
PowerGridX is not limited to large power-generation companies.
A normal person with rooftop solar can participate as a prosumer.
A household has a 5 kW rooftop solar installation.
Solar Generation 10 kWh
Home Consumption 6 kWh
───────
Potential Surplus 4 kWh
The user can use the electricity needed by the household and, where permitted, offer eligible surplus through PowerGridX.

Status:
Active
PowerGridX receives meter information or simulated data.
Generation 12.4 kWh
Consumption 7.1 kWh
Potential Surplus 5.3 kWh
The prosumer selects:
Sell Surplus Electricity
and creates an offer.
Source: Rooftop Solar
Available: 3 kWh
Time: 2 PM – 5 PM
Price: ₹X/kWh
Seller: Verified Prosumer
A consumer can specify:
Required Energy: 300 kWh
Time: 2 PM – 5 PM
Maximum Price: ₹X/kWh
Preferred Source: Renewable
PowerGridX compares:
- Energy quantity
- Price
- Time
- Energy source
- Region
- Eligibility
- Grid/network constraints
and identifies compatible offers.
A matched transaction is created.

The Smart Match Engine is a central component of PowerGridX.
Available: 100 kWh
Price: ₹X/kWh
Source: Solar
Time: 12 PM – 4 PM
Region: Region A
Required: 80 kWh
Maximum Price: ₹Y/kWh
Source: Renewable
Time: 1 PM – 4 PM
Region: Region A
The engine evaluates compatibility and returns potential matches.
PowerGridX can use AI/ML to forecast:
Predict:
- Solar generation
- Wind generation
- Other generation patterns
Predict:
- Household demand
- Commercial demand
- Industrial demand
Predict:
- Regional demand
- Supply availability
- Potential congestion
Example:
Tomorrow's Solar Forecast
08:00 1.2 kWh
10:00 2.8 kWh
12:00 4.1 kWh
14:00 3.7 kWh
16:00 2.1 kWh
Consumers can filter for renewable electricity:
- ☀️ Solar
- 🌬️ Wind
- 💧 Hydro
- 🌿 Biomass
PowerGridX can display estimated environmental impact such as:
Renewable Energy
250 kWh
Estimated CO₂ Impact
XXX kg avoided
Environmental values should be presented as estimates unless verified certification data is integrated.
PowerGridX can provide a visual map containing:
- Generation assets
- Demand zones
- Grid regions

A role-specific assistant can answer questions based on authorized user data.
"How much surplus did I generate today?"
"How much electricity did I sell?"
"Find renewable offers matching my requirement."
"How much did I spend this month?"
"Forecast tomorrow's generation."
"Which region currently has high demand?"

- Password hashing
- Role-based access control
- Protected routes
- API authorization
- Input validation
- Rate limiting
- Audit logging
- Secure session management
- User-data isolation
Users must never be able to access another user's:
- Meter data
- Transactions
- Wallet
- Contracts

PowerGridX is a smart digital electricity marketplace that connects eligible producers and household prosumers with consumers through the existing power grid, allowing surplus generation—such as excess rooftop solar—to be offered through a digital marketplace with intelligent matching, forecasting, verification, transaction management, and settlement.
Core principle:
This is the central concept around which the entire PowerGridX application should be built.
