Syncs from development into main:

  • The @screenly/edge-apps 1.2.1 dependency bump (removes the screen name from the app header)
  • The EDGE_APP_ID rollout: STAGE_EDGE_APP_ID/PRODUCTION_EDGE_APP_ID repo variables wired into the initialize/update actions as edge_app_id, id dropped from screenly.yml, screenly_qc.yml removed (see Use EDGE_APP_ID for stage and production deploys clock-app#17 for the pattern this follows)

Removes the screen name from the app header (Screenly/edge-apps-library#56). This app does not render <app-header>, so no screenshots were regenerated.

- Set STAGE_EDGE_APP_ID and PRODUCTION_EDGE_APP_ID repo variables and pass them through to the initialize/update actions as edge_app_id
- Drop id from screenly.yml and delete screenly_qc.yml since a single manifest is now used regardless of environment
- Pin edge-apps-actions to a commit for now, since v26.9.0 can't be tagged there until a repo ruleset is adjusted

🟡 Changes recommended

The dependency update results in a likely toolchain mismatch (Vite peer expects esbuild ^0.27/^0.28 but the lock pins esbuild 0.17.19), which can break builds unless corrected.

Pull request overview

Syncs development changes into main primarily to adopt @screenly/edge-apps 1.2.1, aligning this app with updated Edge Apps UX/behavior (per PR description), while also adjusting deployment/initialization automation and manifests.

Changes:

  • Bump @screenly/edge-apps from ^1.0.0 to ^1.2.1 (and update bun.lock accordingly).
  • Remove the id field from screenly.yml and delete the separate screenly_qc.yml manifest.
  • Pin Screenly GitHub Actions to a specific commit and add edge_app_id wiring for stage/production workflows.
