🚀 Pull Request: Auto Search, AI Pipeline Stabilization & Global Refactoring

📝 Overview

This is a massive "mega-update" spanning over 130 files. It introduces the highly-anticipated automated background search feature while simultaneously performing a top-to-bottom scrub of the codebase to eliminate bad code smells, upgrade our error-handling architecture, and resolve several critical bugs within the AI pipelines.

✨ Key Features

• Background Auto Search: Implemented a robust automated search and scraping feature. Includes backend scheduler integrations and database logic to fetch, filter, and save jobs automatically.
• Profile Enhancements: Shipped UI/UX improvements to the Profile Page to make the user experience cleaner and more intuitive.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• AI Tailoring Pipeline Freeze: Fixed a critical bug where the UI would stay stuck on "pending" infinitely during high demand.
  • Added a hard 5-minute timeout to the frontend JobProvider polling loop.
  • Resolved a silent backend crash caused by a CommonJS export issue in pdf-parse when users uploaded CSV files instead of PDFs.
• Mail Integration Stability: Patched failing test mail integrations and solved edge cases causing the email generation services to fail.
• Legacy DB & Date Parsing: Fixed legacy database table anomalies and hardened date parsing logic.

🛠 Refactoring & Technical Debt (The "Bad Smell" Cleanup)

• Standardized Global Error Handling: Scrubbed the entire backend and replaced dozens of raw throw new Error() instances with our custom AppError(msg, status) object. This ensures the frontend receives precise HTTP status codes (e.g., 400 Bad Request) instead of generic 500 Internal Server Errors.
• Adopted asyncHandler: Stripped out redundant try/catch blocks across all backend controllers by wrapping routes in asyncHandler, dramatically improving code readability.
• Unit Test Suite Revamp: Updated the Jest mocks across our test suite to assert promise rejections (rejects.toThrow()) instead of checking manual res.status mocks. All 402 unit tests are now passing flawlessly.
• General Cleanup: Removed obsolete one-off scripts from version control (via .gitignore) and consolidated duplicated scraper logic.

• Frontend npm run lint passes (0 errors).
