Docs-only record of the measured AC-R1 fail both outcome. Does not merge.

What

  • docs/hardware-notes.md is the exact WINDOWS-CU-20260920-01 desk content: fail both, 0 input reports in 15s with LGS/LCore running (pid 8668) and again with LCore stopped. LEFT/DOWN/TOP mapping and joystick envelope remain pending (not AC-R1).
  • README Status no longer claims a pending finger-on-key run. The R1 stop paragraph states fail both on 2026-09-20, points at docs/hardware-notes.md and docs/PRD.md AC-R1 / R1, and records that fail both stops M1 for Kyle's review.

Why

PRD R1: cost of the bad outcome is a README paragraph. AC-R1: fail both stops M1 for Kyle's review. No HID redesign, past-M1 invent, or codec invent in this hop.

Out of scope

  • No crates/ changes
  • No merge from this PR — Delivery Lead VERIFY; CRA∥GATE-2; CoS merges after CLEAR

Commit the measured WINDOWS-CU-20260920-01 fail-both outcome
verbatim into docs/hardware-notes.md. Update README Status and
add the PRD R1 stop paragraph: fail both stops M1 for Kyle review.

P1 Badge Verify keypresses before declaring fail both

If Kyle did not physically press keys during each exact 15-second window, zero reports is inconclusive—the earlier Phase 0 run already produced zero reports simply because nobody was at the keypad. These entries record only that a mash was “requested,” not that it occurred, yet the new README treats the result as authoritative and stops M1; record explicit operator confirmation for both runs or rerun them before classifying AC-R1 as fail both.
