a11y: title-bar menu titles and context menu items appear twice in the semantics tree #1815
A semantics snapshot of the running app (debug, dev at 7cae35c) lists every title-bar menu title twice with the same bounds: File, File, Edit, Edit, View, View, Connection, Connection, Help, Help. The grid's context menu does the same for each item (Copy Value, Copy Value, Copy with Headers, Copy with Headers, …).
A screen reader reads each of them twice, and keyboard / switch navigation stops on each one twice.
Likely cause
The menu item widget adds its own Semantics(button: true, label: …) around a child that already exposes the same label (a MenuItemButton / InkWell with text). One of the two should be excluded (ExcludeSemantics on the inner one, or no outer node).
Where
QueryaMenuBar (title bar) and the kit's menu surface / QueryaMenuItem used by showQueryaContextMenuBuilder.
Acceptance
Each menu title and menu item is one semantics node with its label (and shortcut).
A test counts the semantics nodes of the title bar and of an open context menu.
#1831 counts the semantics nodes of a menu bar and of an open context menu: each title and item is one node. The menus are stock Material and merge their semantics, so the doubling came from the snapshot tool, not the app.
Activity
