New lecture built on the supply_demand_var laboratory. A structural modeler with uniform priors over the adjustment costs (g_s, g_d) computes, by Monte Carlo, the induced priors over structural impulse responses, autocovariances, the population VAR innovation covariance, and q-first and p-first Cholesky impulse responses. The induced prior generates theory-motivated sign restrictions in the spirit of Uhlig (2005, 2017); because the supply shock is non-fundamental, restrictions that hold with prior probability one yield identified sets that exclude the true response. Further sections widen the prior and compare uniform with log-uniform priors on g_s. Includes four exercises, connections to Leeper, Traum and Walker (2017) and Geweke (2010), new bibliography entries, and a TOC entry after supply_demand_var. Implements the edits proposed in the review comment on #390: - typos and wording (overview list, truncated "quant" labels in printed output, Exercise 4 wording, missing Figure 7 citation, link to sdvar_ex2) - {cite:t} where the author is part of the sentence - \mathbb{E} / \mathbb{P} notation - mystnb captions and names on main-text figures; single-panel titles moved into captions; default figsize for single-panel figures; lw=2 - minor code tidying (one statement per line, qe.LQ, clearer names) - state the observed range of the supply-shock norm (0.80 to 0.87) - bib: add DOIs, title case for Uhlig2005, Honoré typed directly Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
