Changes

This PR documents the available AI models for Replay Vision scanners and their credit costs, following the changes in PostHog/posthog#73026.

Updates

contents/docs/replay-vision/creating-scanners.mdx

  • Added new "Choosing a model" section documenting:
    • The three available Gemini models and their tiers
    • Credit costs per observation (2, 5, 15 credits)
    • That Gemini 3 Flash (preview) is the default at 5 credits
    • Guidance on when to choose each model tier

contents/docs/replay-vision/quota-and-limits.mdx

  • Added clarification that observations cost different amounts based on model selection
  • Added "Choose a more economical model" as a quota management option
  • Updated "Combine all three" → "Combine these" to reflect the four available levers

Model lineup

Model Tier Credits/observation
Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite flash lite 2 (budget)
Gemini 3 Flash (preview) flash 5 (default)
Gemini 3.6 Flash flash 15

PR #73026 restores gemini-3-flash-preview as the 5-credit default model.
Update quota-and-limits to clarify that observations cost different
amounts depending on model, and add model choice as a sizing knob.

Eager-graph budgets are report-only until a baseline is established. Sizes are gzip of public/**/*.js; eager size is webpack module source bytes for the modules actually shipped in the entrypoint's initial chunks (post-tree-shake).
