University Management System

A Java desktop application for managing common university records and day-to-day administrative tasks. I built this as a desktop/JDBC-style project while learning Java GUI development and database-backed CRUD workflows.

The application is organized as a set of Swing screens for students, faculty, attendance, examinations and fees, with a main menu tying the modules together.

Features

  • student admission and student-detail views
  • faculty creation and teacher-detail views
  • student and teacher attendance
  • attendance history
  • examination details and mark entry
  • student and teacher record updates
  • fee structure and student fee forms
  • desktop login and navigation

Technology

  • Java
  • Swing/AWT for the desktop interface
  • JDBC-style database access in the application classes

Project structure

This is an older Java project and the source files are kept close to their original structure. Some of the main classes are:

Project.java main application/menu
Login.java login screen
AddStudent.java student admission
AddTeacher.java faculty creation
StudentDetails.java student records
TeacherDetails.java faculty records
StudentAttendance.java attendance entry
TeacherAttendance.java faculty attendance
EnterMarks.java examination marks
FeeStructure.java fee information
StudentFeeForm.java student fee workflow

Running the project

The source uses the package university.management.systems and expects the accompanying resources/database configuration used by the original desktop project. The easiest way to run it is to import the source into a Java IDE, restore the expected package/resource layout, configure the database connection for your local environment, and run the splash/login entry point.

Project status

This repository is a learning project, not a maintained university ERP. I keep it public because it shows an earlier stage of my Java desktop development work, but I would modernize the project structure, dependency management, database configuration and testing before using the code for a new application.
