Summary

Rebaselines the guide on OpenClaw 2026.6.11 stable (2026-06-30) and — importantly — corrects the previous refresh, which referenced a "2026.6.4 stable" release and a set of config keys that were never shipped in any published OpenClaw release. I verified against the OpenClaw source repo, docs, npm publish history, and GitHub releases: the June stable line runs 2026.6.1 → 2026.6.5 → 2026.6.6 → 2026.6.8 → 2026.6.9 → 2026.6.10 → 2026.6.11, with no 2026.6.4 and no 2026.6.11-beta.1.

Fabricated content removed/corrected (with real replacements)

Previously documented (does not exist) Replaced with (verified)
agents.list[].budget caps (dailyUsd/onExceed) Per-agent cost visibility: openclaw gateway usage-cost --agent <id> / --all (2026.6.11) + /usage full footers
openclaw policy check --export attestations policy check --json (stable attestation hashes) + doctor --lint gating
models.providers.<id>.health probe/demotion block Real failover fixes in 2026.6.9–11 (overload classification, usage-limit fallback) + per-cron-job --fallbacks / --clear-fallbacks
memory promote --dry-run / memory.recall.maxParallel / dreaming schedule "controls" memory promote is dry-run by default (--apply mutates), memory promote-explain, memory status --deep --fix
/context map --diff Snapshot-and-diff habit with /context detail; prompt-cache retention note (2026.6.11)
sandbox.network.allow, secrets.rotation.maxAgeDays, meetingNotes.retentionDays Real security items: debug-output secret redaction, admin-only HTTP session/model overrides, package-source redirect/lookalike hardening, actionable plugins.allow trust warnings, @owner/<slug> skill verification, opt-in key-free web search

New content (June trains, verified)

  • Automatic fast mode /fast auto (2026.6.10) — new Part 33 Tip 18
  • Per-job cron --fallbacks and deleteAfterRun cleanup, openclaw agent --message-file
  • Prompt-cache retention in long tool-heavy sessions, stuck Telegram/WhatsApp queue self-recovery
  • Slack router relay mode, official openclaw/openclaw Docker Hub mirror, per-contact DM models
  • Part 25 version table rows for 2026.6.8/6.9/6.10/6.11; Part 26 Path 12 rewritten for the real releases

Visible correction notes were added to README, Part 33, Part 26, and templates/README so followers of the previous revision know exactly what changed and why. templates/openclaw.example.json had the fabricated budget, health, recall.maxParallel, retentionDays, and secrets.rotation blocks removed.

Type of change

  • Correction to an existing part
  • Version bump (OpenClaw version)

Review checklist

  • Added or updated cross-links from the README TOC and any related parts
  • Sources / release notes linked in the PR description (not inline as footnotes)
  • Ran markdownlint-cli2 and lychee --offline locally (CI will also run these)
  • No speculation presented as fact — any uncertainty is called out in the PR description

Sources: openclaw/openclaw releases (2026.6.8, 2026.6.9, 2026.6.10, 2026.6.11), cron jobs docs (--fallbacks), fast-mode docs (/fast auto), and the OpenClaw source tree (verified absence of the removed config keys).

Notes / flagged items

  • Release dates for 2026.6.5/2026.6.6 are summarized only in the Part 33 version map without per-release detail rows; they were minor stabilization trains.
  • The Google Meet Meeting Notes claim was softened rather than deleted: a Google Meet extension exists in the OpenClaw tree, but the previously documented retentionDays/redaction keys do not, so the guide now points readers at the plugin's own docs for retention options.
