EIP Reference Surface

Reference implementation accompanying the published Execution Integrity Protocol (EIP) research.

Execution Integrity Protocol (EIP) is a continuity-verification architecture for autonomous, asynchronous, deferred, and distributed execution systems.

Problem Statement

EIP addresses a fundamental execution problem:

A previously authorized action may no longer be valid when execution actually occurs.

Rather than treating authorization as permanently valid, EIP requires execution-state continuity to be revalidated immediately before effectuation.

If continuity verification fails, execution is deterministically denied.


Core Invariant

Authorization validity does not imply execution-time continuity validity.

Every previously authorized execution request must be revalidated against current execution-state conditions immediately prior to effectuation.

If continuity verification fails, execution is denied.


Architectural Scope

EIP operates exclusively on continuity verification.

EIP does not determine:

  • execution authority
  • admissibility
  • governance state
  • authorization policy

Those concerns are external to EIP.

EIP focuses on:

  • execution-state continuity verification
  • continuity revalidation
  • execution-state divergence detection
  • deterministic denial semantics
  • continuity-failure attribution

Deterministic Denial Semantics

EIP enforces fail-closed execution behavior.

When continuity verification fails immediately prior to effectuation, execution is denied and a deterministic denial artifact may be generated for:

  • auditability
  • reproducibility
  • execution verification
  • continuity-failure analysis

Scope

The EIP Reference Surface is intended for:

  • execution-state continuity verification modeling
  • deferred execution integrity analysis
  • deterministic denial modeling
  • continuity-failure analysis
  • autonomous execution continuity demonstrations

The reference surface is not intended to represent:

  • a production deployment system
  • a complete institutional execution environment
  • a formally verified distributed execution runtime
