A Chrome extension that fills three gaps on Instagram's website: a progress bar you can click on every video and reel, a volume slider, and a way to empty your saved posts without unsaving them one by one.
Chrome, Edge, Brave or any other Chromium browser.
- Download
Insta_Tweaks.zipfrom the releases page and unzip it. - Open
chrome://extensionsand switch on Developer mode (top right). - Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
- Reload any open Instagram tab.
To update, replace the folder's contents with the new release and click the ↻ icon on the extension's card.
A thin bar sits under every video. Click anywhere on it to jump to that point. It grows thicker when you hover over it so it is easier to hit.
A speaker button in the bottom-right corner of each video. Click it to mute or unmute; hover over it to reveal a slider you can drag. The level applies to every video and is remembered next time.
Open your saved posts (profile → Saved) and an Unsave… button appears at the top right. Pick a collection, or All saved posts, press Start and confirm.
Read this before you press Start:
- Unsaving is complete. A post removed this way leaves all your collections, exactly as if you had clicked its bookmark icon. There is no undo.
- It is slow on purpose. 3 to 6 seconds between posts and a one-minute break every 50, so a thousand posts takes about an hour and a half. Instagram temporarily blocks accounts that act too fast.
- It stops on its own if Instagram starts refusing actions or asks you to log in again, and shows why. Wait a few hours before trying again. Three failures in a row also stop it.
- Stop ends the run after the current post. Start again later and it picks up what is left.
- The progress shows how many posts were removed, not a total: Instagram does not say how many posts a collection holds.
Automating actions is against Instagram's terms of use. The pacing keeps the risk low, but it is not zero: prefer runs of a few hundred posts.
Everything runs in your browser, on instagram.com. The extension requests no permissions, has no server, and sends nothing anywhere except to Instagram itself, using the session you are already logged in with. The only things it stores are your volume level and mute state, in the page's local storage.
Instagram changes its website without notice. The bulk unsave relies on Instagram's private web API, so it is the part most likely to stop working. If the panel says it could not load your collections or every post fails, open an issue.
