With this we now have:

• Much smaller client only for the methods that the plugin consumes.
• One file per API method rather than one file for all, ease of readability
• Status checks before parsing, existing code de-serializes before status checks, so status checks had to implemented at the plugin level via another layer of abstraction
• Ability to harness request/response hooks for O11y
