These cases intentionally test post-install hash and provenance behavior with controlled binaries. The no-op installer is appropriate for that scope, but the cases cannot detect incorrect reviewed 0.1.3 identities or an installation failure. Existing installer pin tests cover 0.0.116 and 0.1.2, but not 0.1.3. Keep these controlled fixtures and add a separate release-pin or installer-boundary test for 0.1.3. The E2E workflow itself must continue to invoke the unchanged installer.

LGTM, thanks Prekshi. This removes one blocker for #12603 without moving main off 0.0.116.
I checked the new pins rather than trusting the table. I pulled the 0.1.2 and 0.1.3 Linux x86 release archives and hashed the three binaries, and all six match. The source SHAs line up with the release tags, and the 0.1.3 supervisor digest is the one already in ci/openshell-upgrade-trust.json. The installer, on main and in #12603, puts all three binaries next to openshell, and candidate MCP runs use ubuntu-latest, so the new hash check compares the right files.
The two Advisor findings don't hold up. The 0.1.3 trust record is already on main. The Docker owner that runs in these jobs comes from the candidate checkout (e2e.yaml lines 4101 and 4277), and in #12603 that owner already accepts 0.1.3. CodeRabbit's ask for separate 0.1.3 pin tests is reasonable but not needed here, since the hashes check out.
CI, the required checks, and Self-Hosted PR Qualification are green. Dispatched E2E runs main's workflow, so this change first runs after merge, in main's own E2E and then the #12603 E2E. Worth keeping an eye on both.
Outcome
The trusted E2E workflow selects reviewed OpenShell supervisor and binary identities for the admitted candidate release. Its MCP resolver recognizes 0.0.116, 0.1.2, and 0.1.3. Both MCP jobs verify the installed CLI, gateway, and sandbox binaries before writing provenance.
Reason
Manual PR E2E uses the workflow from main and checks out the admitted candidate's application source. The two MCP jobs previously pinned 0.0.116 identities, preventing qualification of the approved 0.1.3 upgrade in #12603. This PR prepares that workflow prerequisite. It does not change main's installed or supported OpenShell version.
Related issues
Refs #12603. The application and SDK upgrade remains in that PR. This prerequisite does not change installer selection or the candidate release registry.

The two Advisor findings conflate trusted workflow code with candidate application code:
candidateOpenShellVersionreads the candidate's installer and runtime inputs and enforces the existing trust/admission path before resolving MCP identities. Main still selects 0.0.116 when it is the candidate. Its existingci/openshell-upgrade-trust.jsonalready contains the 0.1.3 record, contrary to the finding.inputs.checkout_sha || github.shabefore executing application code (e2e.yamllines 4101 and 4277 at this commit). The 0.1.3 Docker runtime owner is already in chore(deps): upgrade OpenShell runtime and SDK to 0.1.3 #12603 at455d598f157a3cce1d8de93cca0f2be16fb338aa, includingQUALIFIED_STABLE_OPENSHELL_VERSION = "0.1.3"and the supervisor digest. This source check does not establish live qualification. Changing main's Docker runtime owner here would expand this prerequisite into the upgrade itself. Both findings are recorded as false positives for this prerequisite; no code change or waiver is claimed. Keep this PR draft while the failed Advisor disposition remains unresolved. Full #12603 E2E still requires this workflow fix on main and repairs to the candidate's separate activation failures. Support tests and prerequisite CI do not establish live upgrade qualification. No merge approval is claimed.
