I'm a cybersecurity risk and governance specialist in Galway who writes the software too. I own the risk register for FITTER, a Horizon Europe programme, consult on ISO 27001 for SaaS start-ups, and ship open-source security tooling in Python at night.

The long way into security
2021 · Nagpur My first risk register was a rack of PlayStations. A console rental business taught me access rules, account hygiene and incident routines before I knew the vocabulary.
2024 · Galway MSc in Cybersecurity Risk Management at the University of Galway. Founded the Cybersecurity Society (350+ members) and spoke to 3,800 new students at orientation.
2025 · Hackathons Climathon Galway 1st prize, SAP Enterprise Challenge winner, BSides Belfast CTF 2nd place. Hackathons turned a risk person into a builder.
Now · TFC R&I Risk Management Officer for FITTER (Horizon Europe, GA 101132546). Governance on weekdays, Python at night.
