About This Repository

This repository serves as the official community hub for Glitch AI Engine. It provides a single, structured channel for users to engage with the product team.

Purpose	Description

Questions	Installation, configuration, and Glitch AI setup support

Note: Application source code is not hosted in this repository. Downloads, release builds, and full documentation are maintained on the official website.

Overview

Glitch AI Engine is a production desktop terminal for Linux, developed by Alex Butler at Vritra Security Organization (VritraSec).

Unlike chat-first terminal wrappers, Glitch runs your preferred native shell (bash, zsh, or any shell from /etc/shells) inside a modern workspace augmented by a built-in Glitch AI assistant panel.

Glitch AI

Capability	Description
Send to AI	Select terminal output → right-click → Send to AI. Opens the panel, prefixes /shell, and focuses input for diagnostics.
Chat mode	General workspace assistance with streaming responses and session memory.
Shell mode	Command-output analysis via /shell for logs, build failures, and runtime errors.
File context	Attach workspace files with @filename mentions in the AI panel.
Run in terminal	AI markdown/bash code blocks include Run (feed into the active pane) and Copy.
7-day history	Local chat history kept for 7 days, shown with Today / Yesterday / date headers.

Tabs & splits	Multi-tab layout with horizontal and vertical split panes
Session restore	Tabs, split tree, working directories, and themes persist across restarts
Find in Terminal	Search scrollback with Ctrl+Shift+F; next/previous via F3 / Shift+F3
Command Palette	Editable quick-command snippets (Ctrl+Shift+P); manage in Settings → Quick Commands
Themes	10 curated palettes including Vritra Matrix (default) and Ghost Glitch
Custom background	Solid color or wallpaper — Your images gallery plus 16 built-in presets
Terminal prefs	Opacity slider, configurable scrollback, and soft cursor blink that does not abort selection
Productivity	Clickable hyperlinks · read-only and full-screen modes

Official builds are distributed via the VritraSec CDN.
