What happened
Filler/canon markers never show up for anime whose library title is in another language. My library uses Catalan metadata, so "Detective Conan" is "El detectiu Conan" and "Dragon Ball" is "Bola de Drac". Both are on AnimeFillerList, but the admin page preview says they match nothing, and the series endpoint returns matched=(nothing) markers=0. Running the Anime Markers Sync task again doesn't change anything.
I expected the plugin to find the show the same way it does for an English-titled library.
As far as I can tell from the source, AnimeMarkerResolver.MatchSeries only tries the series name, the name plus production year, and OriginalTitle. AnimeFillerList titles are English, so a localized name never matches. OriginalTitle doesn't help either: for anime it's usually the Japanese title from TMDB (e.g. 名探偵コナン), and AnimeTitleMatcher.Normalize drops everything outside a–z/0–9, so it folds to an empty key.
Possible fix: the plugin already resolves a series to its MyAnimeList id for the recap pass (AnimeRecapFetchService.TryResolveMalIdAsync). That lookup works from provider ids and the Fribb mapping table, so it doesn't depend on the title language. When the title match fails, the romaji/English titles for that id (one AniList query, Media(idMal:) { title { romaji english } synonyms }) could be matched against the index as further candidates.
Workaround for now: setting the series' Original title to the English name ("Detective Conan") and re-running the sync task.
Steps to reproduce
- Use a library with metadata in a non-English language (Catalan here), so anime series names are localized.
- Enable Anime markers and run "Moonfin Anime Markers Sync".
- On the plugin admin page, preview a series that exists on AnimeFillerList under its English name (e.g. "El detectiu Conan" → Detective Conan).
- The preview reports "matched nothing on AnimeFillerList", and no episodes get filler/canon pills.
