Option to disbale auto login of party members

When I am in a group with another player and we both log off, after I log back in with the multi-bot addon active, the other player character in the party will also be automatically logged in.

It only seems to log in other player characters but not bots in the group that have previously been added using the "addclass" command.

The question is how to prevent the auto-login of other players' characters in the group.

Similar to this, If I am in a group with other players from my guild (guild bots are allowed in the config, though not used in this example) and relog my char, it queries other player characters in the group after I log back in with "co ?". Since the players are online and actively playing their chars, this is not necessary in this moment.

MultiBot should only set your bots online after a Interface reload. On mine it doing so.

As far as I know is this the only way that MB brings your bots online automatically.

Do you have other Addons installed which use the in game chat to Funktion?

The Playerbot discord says that such Addons can cause the Bots to do weird stuff, because this addon sends commands to the bots that they don't understand.

I tested it now without any other addons except MultiBot.

As far as i can tell, the problem is that the RefreshRaid and RefreshGroup calls as well as the CombatStrategy query are done without knowing if the character in question is

• a randombot
• an altbot
• a guild altbot

Therefore it also queries other players even though the module configuration doesn't allow me to control those characters.

I get the following chat output when I log in or reloadui:

The other player in the group is another player's character from a different account who I am not allowed to control (as the chat states correctly) but multibot still tries to do so.

Since both characters are in the same guild, and if AllowGuildBots would be enabled in the config, it would automatically log in the other players' character as well, even though i don't intend to control the character at this point.
This is why I thought an option to disable automatic login of bots would be a helpful solution.

In addition, regardless of the previous problem, when the player comes online, the addon sends "co ?" to the character since we are in a group - which is unnecessary spam if it is sent to other players.
In the following video you can see a player coming online into a group while another player (me) is already online. Both players only have the multibot addon installed and you can see that when the player comes online, the "co ?" whisper is send, while none of them is a bot or should be used as a bot at this point. In addition, also executing the ".playerbots bot list" command triggers the "co ?" query in the other direction as well.

I don't know if there is a solution to this on addon side alone, since only the server knows if a character is a bot or can be used as one by the current player.

Maybe my report helps finding a solution for avoiding sending playerbot related commands to other players. :)

You point it. Only the server knows who's a bot and about what bot it is. MultiBot is not able to find that out.

Maybe you're right and this helps to deal with this. 👍

I will now be able to get around this problem by linking the accounts instead of allowing guildbots in general - no more accidentally logging in another player's char 👍
