The Light Fighter Manifesto has been in publication since 2022. LFM arms communities with independent publications, training, open source software, and self-hosted infrastructure.
We publish two free web series. Both are listed at the web series hub, and both are free to read with no account.
Field-built technical self-reliance, in six modules. Take it inside its own desktop at the series terminal.
| Module | What you do |
|---|---|
| 00 Hardening | Lock down the phone and laptop you use for the rest of the series |
| 01 Networking | Build and secure a self-hosted network; covers Reticulum, NomadNet, and LXMF |
| 02 Electronics | Learn electronics by building an ESP32 sensor node |
| 03 Building Circuits | Turn schematics into working hardware: KiCad, breadboard, then a Raspberry Pi in control |
| 04 Salvage | Stock your bench with parts pulled from discarded electronics |
| 05 Power | Salvage and test batteries, build a protected bank, and power your equipment from it |
The series includes 33 interactives, a field-exercise worksheet (PDF) for every module, knowledge checks with a test per module, a plain-text edition of every module, and a practice terminal for drilling the commands before you touch real hardware.
Urban sniping, military and non-military, and the tactics and techniques that go into it.
Segment One, History of the Urban Sniper is live: nine cases from Stalingrad 1942 to Mosul 2017. Stalingrad, Austin, Hue, South Armagh, Sarajevo, Grozny, Washington D.C., Baghdad, and Mosul. Each case covers what the sniping achieved, how it was countered, and what the next generation copied from it. The segment runs on 105 cited sources, and its atlas maps the ground at Sarajevo and Baghdad.
Segment two, The Spectrum, takes up how a sniper operates in a battlespace saturated with sensors.
lightfightermanifesto.org opens in a working
terminal. Every command at its prompt is real Debian syntax: curl makes real
requests, md5sum is a real MD5 implementation, rnstatus shows the status of
our Reticulum node, and telnet connects to the live message board. A dead
drop is hidden on the site.
One field calculator with five modes runs on the site and ships as a single JavaScript file you can download and run anywhere Node.js is installed. Plain-text endpoints are available for terminal readers:
curl -L lightfightermanifesto.org/motd
curl -L lightfightermanifesto.org/features
LFM runs a public NomadNet node on the Reticulum network. Any Reticulum client can reach it; no internet connection is required. It serves:
- Surveillance Wiki: 528 records covering court decisions, surveillance tech profiles, state laws, documented misuse, community wins, step-by-step playbooks, and a glossary. Searchable, with community submissions. Also mirrored on our onion service.
- Privacy library: 102 privacy guides, searchable.
- Techno Guerrilla, Reticulum Edition: the course served on the node module by module, with knowledge checks, tests, and badges.
- Live chat: bridged both ways to our Matrix room.
- Articles and node statistics.
- ReticulumHF: encrypted communication over HF radio using the Reticulum Network Stack and FreeDV digital modes
- LXMFMonero: Monero transactions over LXMF
- freedvtnc2: fork of the FreeDV KISS TNC with an added TCP command interface; ReticulumHF runs it
