Ah, of course this doesn't exist in 1.10

Since this is an experimental library, I don't mind raising the Julia lower bound to 1.12. I'm not sure whether it's a problem for JuMP integration @odow?

It might also be worth asking over in LinearAlgebra whether this functionality can be made public, and if not, why not.

Actually I've run into people who still use 1.10 because it is faster than 1.12, so let's hold off on this for now.
