Feature Request: Subtitle selector in video player

Congrats for the 1st release!

I feel like I might be a bother by opening an issue for this specific thing. However,

I wanted to ask if adding a subtitle selector to the player is planned. Most of what I watch relies on subtitles, but right now a lot of my media either plays without any subtitles at all or defaults to the original language, with no way to switch tracks during playback.

Having a button in the player to choose between available subtitle tracks would make a huge difference. Thanks for the work on this app!

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, there's already a subtitle selector, I don't have too much stuff with subtitles but I know it does work with VTT subtitles specifically, what kind of subtitles does your media use?

Hi, so

My media uses external SRT subtitles (.srt extension, subrip format).
For example, my folder layout includes:

• Video: House MD Season 1 Episode 01 - Pilot.avi
• Subtitle: House MD Season 1 Episode 01 - Pilot.pt-BR.srt

currently, these .srt subtitles don't show up in the player selector.

On container files like .mkv with embedded tracks, the player defaults to an embedded English track, but there is no button in the player UI to switch to other languages or select the external Portuguese .srt file (like .pob.srt).

Having a track selection menu directly in the player controls would fix the problem, I guess. Thanks!
