Why this would help
Someone interested in using DIN should be able to answer two questions without reading the code:
- Can I train my model on DIN today?
- If I already have a model and dataset, what do I need to get started?
The current docs make this hard to tell. Documentation/public/services.md describes using different frameworks through custom services, while Documentation/public/guides/client-onboarding.md walks through the MNIST handwritten-digit example. The distinction between the working example, available customization, and planned capabilities could be clearer.
This would also help conversations with potential partners, who need to understand whether their training projects are a fit before going further.
Suggested next step
Agree on an owner and confirm what works on the current testnet, then add or update documentation covering:
- Which kinds of models and datasets are supported today, with a simple working example.
- What needs customization or further development.
- The steps to bring a model and dataset, including how data is prepared and shared, and how results are evaluated.
- Who can start a training task, how to find participants, and what costs or setup are involved.
A short overview could link to a more detailed getting-started guide and existing security guidance. State which network or version the guidance applies to, and label example-specific instructions clearly.
Expected outcome
A newcomer can tell whether their project is a fit and find a clear path to trying it. Questions that still need a team decision are identified explicitly.
Adding support for new kinds of training is a separate task.
