Agent Capability Middleware gives an agent permission to buy an x402 resource under a bounded grant. The current canonical routes are all USDC on Base Sepolia. Adding a Nano (XNO) route — a feeless exact settlement path — widens the rail without changing the authority model.
Why it fits:
- ACM's
canonicalRoutes checks which chains/assets an agent may settle on. Nano fits as a single-chain (nano:mainnet), single-asset (XNO) route: a signed Nano send block is a self-contained receipt that the "no wallet key to the agent" rule still respects — the buyer signs only the Nano block, no EVM/Solana wallet is given to the agent.
- Feeless and final in ~1 second. A bounded grant measured in micro-payments (0.0001 XNO per call) can be checked and spent entirely within Nano, with the settlement visible on-ledger as a block that belongs to the same Nano account that ACM holds the key for.
- The existing
npx ... doctor check validates canonicalRoutes from Coinbase's Bazaar; a Nano route would be verified the same way — scheme: "exact", network: "nano:mainnet", asset: "XNO" — with the same 402 response test the doctor already runs.
For the verification leg, a callable reference you can test against today (live, settled in XNO, no signup): https://extract.paypercall.dev/api/v1/nano-info returns balance, representative, block count, frontier and pending for any Nano address; https://extract.paypercall.dev/api/v1/address-verdict labels whether a payTo address is a real active counterparty. Both take GET ?account=nano_...
Is a Nano mainnet route — governed by the same bounded-grant and canonicalRoutes check — in scope beside Base Sepolia USDC?
