💡 What: Implemented lazy initialization for the lightbox component. The DOM elements for the lightbox are now only created and appended to the body when the user first clicks on an image that has
data-lightbox, rather than immediately on page load.🎯 Why: Creating complex DOM structures that are hidden by default delays the main thread during the critical initial page load phase. Deferring this until interaction reduces initial DOM size and blocking time.
📊 Impact: Speeds up initial page rendering by reducing main thread work and memory footprint before first interaction.
🔬 Measurement: Verified with
