What changed

New launch page: /blog/reflection-beam/. Reflection AI announced Beam, its first open weight model, on 5 Oct 2026. It reached more than 400 points on Hacker News on 6 Oct, and "reflection ai" has 14,800 searches a month at difficulty 14 (OpenSEO, 6 Oct 2026).

  • 1,159 words, 8 question headings, 5 FAQ entries, four bright scenes and a title card (white, no characters, the blog: bright scenes without the cast for How to use Claude Code #700 style).
  • One backlink added in run-munder-difflin-on-open-models.
  • The page says plainly that the weights are not out: Reflection's post says "later this month". No hardware needs, price or date beyond the source.
  • Benchmark numbers are Reflection's own, labelled as such, and the table is marked as our selection of 6 of its 21 rows.

Checks

  • Gate: pass. Build and node tools/check-release-links.cjs: pass.
  • Independent fact review: round 1 fail (no wrong number; one overstated verdict, an undisclosed row selection, two attribution gaps), round 2 pass after the fixes. The scene alt text and captions were written after the review and were checked against the post by me, not by the reviewer.
  • Scenes swap in live on the built page in headless Chrome (4 of 4). Not tested: Safari, Firefox, a real phone, taps and keys by hand.

Before

No page existed for this name. The live URL returned the 404 page on 6 Oct 2026:

✅ Evidence received. Before and after are both attached. Thanks — this is what makes a PR reviewable in one pass.
