Grim Batol

Grim Batol - Twilight's Hammer Fortress

"You have come far, traveler.
Far enough to know better - and yet, the gates are open."

⚒ The Vault

Deep beneath the Twilight Highlands lies Grim Batol - once a stronghold of the Wildhammer, then a prison of dragons, then a temple of corruption. The halls have known many masters. None remain.

Today, the forges burn again. A single Keeper walks these halls, gathering his works behind doors of stone and rune. This vault holds his creations - relics of Azeroth, rebuilt and reforged for those who would carry them forward.

What you find here is yours to take. What you leave behind, the Keeper will tend.

⛰ The Halls

"Every door bears a sigil. Every sigil, a story."

A faithful 1:1 reconstruction of the Darkmoon Faire for World of Warcraft 3.3.5a. Maps, NPCs, quests, mini-games, prize tickets, the wandering family of freaks and their mysterious gnome - all of it, brought home to Wrath. Open-source · TrinityCore-first · AzerothCore to follow.

A path that does not end. The Paragon System grants Azeroth's heroes a way to walk beyond the summit - endless levels, stat bonuses, and auras of fortune. A relic carried from distant lands, reforged in Lua and fitted to the bones of AzerothCore. The dual-mode forge offers progression by character, or shared across an entire account. Open-source · AzerothCore 3.3.5a · ALE engine · ElunaTrinityWotlk port planned.

A tome from an age that has not yet come. Drawn backward through the threads of time, this spellbook bears the design of a future expansion - a two-page spread, talents and specializations unified, brought home to Wrath. The Bronze Dragonflight would not approve. Open-source · WotLK 3.3.5a · interface modification (not an addon).

The vault grows. More relics will rest within these halls as the forges turn.

🗝 The Stone Keeper

No one remembers his name.

Some say he was the last of the Wildhammer to refuse the retreat - that when the corruption came, he simply walked deeper into the mountain until the stone itself took him in. Others whisper he is older than that. Older than the fortress. That he was here when the first hammer struck the first vein, and that he will be here when the last torch goes out.

He does not speak. He does not leave the halls. When a relic is brought to the vault, he places it. When a relic is taken, he watches. When a corruption stirs within the stones, he kindles the forges - and waits.

If you find a door ajar, it is because he allowed it.

⚔ Approaching the Gates

"There is no rite. Only the work."

  • To contribute - open an issue or a pull request on the relevant hall. There is no formal ritual. If your work is sound, you stand among us.
  • To speak - use the GitHub Discussions of the hall you've entered.
  • To report a corruption - open an issue. The Keeper hunts corruptions, and rewards those who bring them to light.
  • To wait at the gate - leave a ⭐ on a hall whose work you would see continued. The Keeper notices.

"From the depths, we forge.
From the ashes, we rise."

- inscription carved upon the inner gate
