Modded cows now give the proper item when milked by the Drum of the Gathering. See this example of a Chocolate Cow from Thaumic Horizons in GTNH:

It should also work for any other (non-breeding) item that you can use to right-click cows if they have any special interaction with it in its
.interact(player)method, but I'm not sure if there are any examples of those in the pack. IguanaTweaks clay buckets don't use this method so they don't work.
